We have concluded data processing agreements with third parties to ensure that the level of personal data protection is equivalent to that provided in our company.

Contractual collaborators who provide us with services (IT services, web hosting), Government authorities when required by legislation or contract performance (AJPES, Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, Pension and Disability Insurance Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia, Employment Service of Slovenia, Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, other administrative bodies or courts). We do not export your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

We use various organizational and technical measures to protect personal data and ensure a high level of security against loss, manipulation, destruction, or unauthorized access.

We store personal data in physical and electronic form. Accordingly, we have adopted various security measures, including:

locking business premises;
restricting access to personal data to authorized personnel;
training employees on the topic of personal data protection;
careful selection and monitoring of external data processors;
regular updating of hardware and software where data is stored;
regular backup creation, standard firewall, use of protective passwords;
collecting a minimal amount of personal data.

The controller will promptly notify the Information Commissioner, who is the competent supervisory authority for Slovenia, in the event of any breach of personal data protection.

In the event of a data breach that may pose a high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, the controller will immediately notify you of such an incident.

In relation to the processing of personal data, you have the following rights:

Right to access personal data: You can request information on whether we process your personal data and information about the processing we carry out. Right to rectification of personal data: If there are incomplete or inaccurate data, you can request correction.
Right to data portability: You can request that we provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Right to restriction of processing of personal data: You can request the temporary restriction of processing your personal data, for example, during the duration of the correction of personal data we process about you. In this case, we will temporarily cease using your personal data but will not delete them.
Right to object to the processing of personal data: When we process your personal data based on the legitimate interest or for marketing communication purposes (including profiling), you have the right to object to such processing.
Right to erasure of personal data: You can request erasure, but we may not delete data that we process based on a contractual relationship (still in effect) or data processed based on the law, unless the retention period has expired.
Right to withdrawal of consent: When the processing of personal data is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent will have no negative consequences for you. However, it may affect our ability to provide you with certain services after the withdrawal. Right to data portability: You can request the transfer of personal data we process about you to another data controller.

This can only be done when technically feasible. You can exercise all rights by writing to us at the email address info@obzorje.si with the subject “Personal Data Protection.”

If we receive a request to exercise a right from which we cannot reliably establish the identity of the individual, we reserve the right to request the submission of appropriate personal data that will enable us to reliably identify them. If you do not provide this information, we will not process your requests.

In all other cases, we will respond to requests within 30 days of receipt, except in the case of extensive requests where we may need more time to prepare a response. We will inform you in advance if the deadline is extended.

All information, responses, and actions by the data controller regarding the exercise of rights and claims related to personal data protection are provided free of charge. However, we reserve the right, in cases where an individual’s requests regarding personal data are manifestly unfounded or excessive, especially if they are repetitive, to request reasonable costs from the individual.

If you believe that the data controller has violated the protection of personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, which in Slovenia is represented by the Information Commissioner.
